Recipe: 5 Minute Apple Nachos

You know what they say; an apple a day keeps the sweet tooth away! (Or, somethin’ like that) The crunchy bitter-sweet flavor of a granny smith apple, the warmth of protein-packed nut butter paired with the perfect touch of low-calorie chocolate.

All signs point to an A+ snack that will be sure to satisfy anyone that may be graced by its presence. This recipe screams diversity while silencing any guilt. Dress it how you’d like or switch it up to match any season. Summer. Winter. Fall. Try them all! Apple slices will never be boring again.

Here is our favorite version:

  1. Rinse off and cut two granny smith apples into small slices, arrange on a plate face up.
  2. Heat ¼ cup macadamia nut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds.
  3. Break RED Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts & Macadamia into sections and heat in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Remove. Stir, continue to microwave for 30 seconds or until chocolate has fully melted down.
  4. Drizzle the warm nut butter & the melted RED over apple slices with a spoon and add your toppings! Serve immediately.

Some tasty toppings include: dry roasted peanuts, slivered almonds, granola, coconut flakes, cacao nibs, mini marshmallows, sprinkles (swap out the nut butter and use caramel drizzle for a Halloween theme!)
