Nothing says summer quite like the way camping does. Sunshine. Heat. Stars. The crisp smells of nature. Last but not least, a blazing fire to roast delicious, memory-making meals over. While many of our favorite activities may not be easily accessible this season—why not bring the campground home? It’s a known fact that kids will eagerly jump at the idea of backyard camping—but regardless of having the little ones around, treating yourself to a relaxing stay-at-home vacay or romantic outdoor getaway can be just as exciting.

These guiltless S’more-nanas will have you jumping up and down.

S’more-nanas:

(Makes 4 servings; one banana is a single serving)

A campfire or outdoor grill
4 Bananas
1⁄2 cup of mini marshmallows
1⁄2 cup of crushed graham crackers
1⁄2 cup of your favorite RED chocolate, broken into pieces
Aluminum foil

Steps:

  1. Leaving the fruits in their peel, make a deep lengthwise cut along the curve of your bananas; be careful not to cut all the way through. Spread open to form a pocket.
  2. Fill bananas with marshmallows, graham crackers, and desired RED chocolate pieces.
  3. Wrap each banana in foil; make sure that there is a foil opening on the top. Using tongs and oven mitts, place wrapped bananas in coals of the campfire. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Carefully remove with tongs and mitts; peel back foil and dig in!
